A common feature of modern Christian theological understanding is that of experience. Not infrequently, this experience is given a dominant status in evaluating past and present practices, even if this experience somehow contradicts or contravenes traditional Christian thought and practice.
Is there a common Christian experience? If so, if other experiences by self-professed Christians are in some way in opposition to that common experience, are these other experiences equally Christian? Why or why not?
