Even though I haven't been back to an independent/non-denominational Christian church (the churches of my heritage) in years, I have to say, politics aside, it does my heart good to see one of the members of said churches take front and center on the international stage. By all accounts, Ms. Miers is a devout Christian (and here) and a member of the well-known (in the brotherhood) Valley View Christian Church. I think Alexander Campbell might well be proud.
