First Friday Five - La Paz
Last month, the ever forward-thinking Chattarati crew started a fantastic monthly fundraising project wherein they pick a local non-profit and encourage everyone via the socialwebernets to give $5 to that org. Last month it was Girls Inc., and they managed to raise over $700 in microdonations.
This month's recipient is La Paz, a small every-increasingly important organization that works in the Hispanic and immigrant communities. Their budget is tiny (right around $100K) and like most non-profit, every dollar (even $5) goes a long way.
The goal is to raise $300 which will help La Paz de Dios provide client care services for 35 individuals or families.
