Best Blog Name, Worst Guest Author (Every Rose Has Its Thorn)
Those of you who follow Josiah's exploits on Twitter know that he is living it up on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta for a few days. Rumor has it this is a well-earned vacation after prepping something big for his design firm Coptix. Only time, and some mavericky blog, will tell.
Either way, he was gracious--or foolish--enough to give me the keys to the kingdom while he's away. In addition to claiming the win for best blog name ever, Irresponsible Journalism has always been an informative and entertaining read. I'll try to do it justice during my (increasingly self-important) stint as guest author.
So, let's kick things off by paying homage to that sacred Coptix tradition, 80s Music Friday. This video is dedicated to my beautiful wife Genia, who seriously loved her power ballads and Aqua Net back in the day:

The real question is whether Fake Josiah will be making an appearance during the interim.

Awww, what a sweet shout out John! My little ladies and I are enjoying 80s friday ourselves. I think the closest we got to your selection was "Nothin' But a Good Time".

Tried to get a bar down here to play some 80's music. They played ABBA. For an hour.

My, jos, the 80's are really great here where I live in the Philippines. I lived during those times when new wave was a hot hit. U2, Sisters of Mercy, The Cure. Anyway, if these are not your taste, they're mine so please forgive me for that. Just can't help remembering through this post. I used to go free concerts once a week just to see local gigs and bands that time. - Ana
