New River Street Architecture Offices

River Street Architecture
Originally uploaded by Josiah Roe
During the course of my becoming a regular at the new CBC AVO Lounge on Cherry Street I had the opportunity to watch the renovation of the building that's become the new offices of River Street Architecture. The building is (or soon will be) LEED Certified, was designed by River Street Architecture (Taylor Bowers was the project architect, assisted by Blythe Bailey), and I believe was the first project done in partnership with green|spaces (though I could be wrong).

That block of Cherry Street is one of the best urban streets in Chattanooga, and it's great to see River Street claim a piece (and do it in such a fantastic way). The building is beautiful, and will only get better as time passes and the vines have a chance to grow up the metal lattice work that was implemented on the exteriors.

Thanks to Blythe for the pics.

Big post to follow, but Earth Day Chattanooga.
