In Which My Father-in-Law is Pretty Cool

Easter Sunday

My Father-in-Law is the head Chaplain on the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier the USS Harry S. Truman, which is currently deployed somewhere very warm and oil-rich.

The picture to the left is taken of him preaching from the flight deck to the ship's crew for the Easter Sunday service. Immediately after this picture was taken, he flew an F-18 blindfolded over Iranian airspace where he "kept up with foreign relations" by engaging a MIG 28 in a negative 4g inverted dive at a range of about 2 meters.

He's got a great Polaroid of it, and the distance looks to be more like 1 1/2 meters. I could tell you more, but it's classified.
