Awesomely Bad Music: Firehouse - "Love of a Lifetime"

Is there any meaningful difference between Firehouse and Peter Cetera (except Carrot Top apparently plays lead guitar for the former)?

When my wife was in high school, this guy who really liked her included this song on a mixtape. Surprisingly, it didn't have the endearing effect he had hoped. Show Me The Way by Styx was also on that tape. Needless to say, when she came across it during a move a few years ago, and wanted to toss it out, I protested. That stuff is solid gold.
