The Promised End

State Senator Ward Crutchfield is changing his "Not-Guilty" plea. I'll be in NYC, but I plan on smoking a cigar and bribing someone (any takers?) in Senator Crutchfield's honor. For you concerned citizens out there, a very special "Crutchfield Corruption" YTMND.

The Pulse has a pretty good round-up of the case thus far. It would be great if someone would write a long-form piece on Ward's political history and influence on Chattanooga, Hamilton County, and Tennessee politics. What if we start a fund to pay Mesh to do it?

As always, Joe is right on the money in mentioning the enormous power-vacuum that Ward is going to leave.

Also: Hilarious bit on City salaries from Worst Mayor Ever. Brilliant nod to "The Office" in "Do-Nothing" Dan's description. The Mich Mich rip was lovely. "Crutchfield Corruption" is the midwife of this administration.
