A Disco Holiday
This weekend I had the misfortune of sitting through two showings of the Screenvision short A Disco Holiday (do download the video).
It's the type of "attempting to be a viral video" crap that we're going to be subjected to ad-nauseum for the next couple of years. It isn't clever, witty, or even intelligible while viewing in the theater (seriously, I couldn't distinguish the words at all). Then there are the offensive visuals.
One more thing: A Gladys Nightmare Holiday is neither a clever nor an obvious pun on The Nightmare Before Christmas.
A Disco Holiday was produced by Digital Kitchen, who elsewhere have done really strong work (like the intro to House). I pray they viewed A Disco Holiday simply as a "got to pay the mortgage" project.
