"I've Got A Lot of Rocks"

Yes, you've got rocks Manny.

In regards to Mayor Ron Littlefield's recent outlay of funds for inoffensive art, the City Council had a number of interesting (and entertaining) things to say. None moreso that St. Elmo's own beloved Manny Rico.

In regards to one particular piece entitled "Roast Beef", which apparently cost $30,000 and featured several rocks in a basket, Manny had this to say:

"How do you say this is worth $30,000? I've got a lot of rocks. The people in my district aren't as cultured. They say to me, 'You are spending all this money on what?'"

Only Manny. You want rocks? He can get you rocks. You don't wanna know how, but he can get you some rocks.

I love him to death. He's got no guile and he's no typical politician (clearly). One day he's gonna get himself into a real heap o' trouble, but until that day, why not have a sparkler?

FYI...they've got an article about him in the local hispanic paper (free). I may not be reading it correctly but, if not, they seem to make some interesting comments about the community.
