I'm Sorry, Did I Step On Your Trumpet?

ships.gifChristian folk pop community hipdie (hippie+indie) Daniel Smith, or Bro. Danielson, or just Danielson (the guy has more monikers than planes have snakes) has up and done a new album, Ships, featuring pretty much everyone in the Danielson extended clan from Sufie to Half Witted Cloud to Deerhof. The Hipsterdom Gatekeepers Pitchfork gave the album an impressive 9.1. Here's a free track off the album, Did I Step On Your Trumpet?

I've long asserted Bro. Danielson is certifiable, but compelling. I will snag Ships as soon as it hit iTunes. It's like a car wreck: you can't help but slow down to look.

Check out The Catbird Seat's May playlist if you get a second. On it is a track from Destroyer you can download, a band I've woefully neglected. Yes John, you told me so and all that.
