See Scoot City

Lots of great scooterin' action going on. Yesterday April, Raul, Stan and I did a ride along the ridge. Good times.

The crew also met Saturday night at Stan & Jen's house to plan next years Chattanooga scooter rally. Its gonna be alot of work, but I think we've got the talent to pull off a sweet gig. Hoppy's is, of course, going to be the friday night base o' operations. Saturday will feature a couple of rides, then shenanigans at Lamar's. We're going to give away (via a raffle) a sweet Lambretta (no that's not the actual bike). And there will be all sorts of other shenanigans. Tentatively we're shooting for late summer. Alot of work to be done between now and then.

In other scooter news this week I'm getting a Sito + performance exhaust put on my bike (thanks to Stan & Scenic City Scooters). That should add about 5 mph to my top-end and give me a good bit more acceleration. I'm looking forward to it. I'm thinking about upjetting also, which only costs about five bucks for the new carb jet.

I also found out somebody else in Chattanooga just bought a mint green stella. They live in North Chat. I need to know who this person is. I think we should consider Frazier avenue as the line of demarcation between our "territories", with the exception of up Frazier avenue to Scenic City Scooters. I believe that's a fair division of the town.

Movies

Weatherman was great. Jarhead was great. Kill Bill vol 1 & 2, again, were great.

That is all for now.

Dave! you can't catch me now!

how big of an engine can you mount in that ruckus anyways?

Well, Alli and I just got a scooter. It's a bright yellow TNG twist-and-go that a cooworker of hers at Blue Cross was selling. It's fun!

it's a highly tweaked 49cc four-stroke engine that can be moded up to about 45 (max) - stock it hits about 40 on flat turf. So most of the speed mods are useless.

You can fit a mess of engines into it and have it get into the insane rate of speed category. Of course if you do such a thing, new brakes, shocks, forks and transmition are in order.

a wealth of useful and useless information can be found at: totalruckus.com. ruckuscentral.com, and battlescooter.com
