Susan Green Leaving Covenant
Received this little blurb today and was asked to post it. Thought you Covenant folks might find it worthwhile:
Dear Friends,Seventeen years ago Susan Green came to Covenant College and it became a better and brighter place for many who knew her.
Her time at Covenant has now come to an end and we didn’t want to let her slip away without thanking and honoring her for all she has given to so many students over the years. This is the reason for this letter. We are just a few of the people who either went on the New York Bowery trips, student retreats, found ourselves in the rocking chairs in the Student Development office, or just married her son. Susan has faithfully gone above and beyond the call of duty and been a picture of the love of Jesus through her compassion and wisdom.
To us Susan is a friend, a mom, a mentor, a listener, a counselor, and an encourager. If Susan has in some way touched your life, we are asking you to either write a few words; a memory or a letter, and send it in. You can even send in pictures if you wish. We will be compiling a scrapbook for Susan. When completed, we are going to organize a surprise (ahem...covert op.) party to present it and thank her. If you want to help us celebrate her, please send your responses to:

I walked into Student Development a couple weeks ago for the first time in a couple of years. It was surreal to not see Susan sitting there. Couple that with no Scott, no Barb. Wasn't right. Change.
