Flotsam & Jetsam XN

I have a vision for the integration of GIS w/ Google Maps: a directory of slumlords. Their properties, contact information, "incident" history, etc. The data is there. It's doable. Its just an issue of time and resources.

My desire to do this is exacerbated by ridiculously cool things like:

codecity - make sure to find the tenement maps section (flash required) - amazing

delete - I'd enjoy doing this with the John McMahan buildings. Permanently.

heavytrash - a blog of architects and designers that focuses on large, disposable public arts projects that draw attention to urban issues. For example, the problem with gated communities.

Pruned - a blog about landscape architecture. Well designed. Brilliantly written.

Archinect - a blog/zine about planning/architecture/design etc.

Thanks for the reference. I assume you read city comforts and get a dose of cynicism from James Howard Kuntsler . They are a few of my regular stops..

Hey, Josiah, Stacey and I just moved to the Atlanta area. Want to get together sometime?
