Pieter Hugo

I've become something of a fan of the photography of Pieter Hugo. I don't really know jack about photography, so understanding his work from anything like a technical perspective is completely beyond me. I will say there's something intensely compelling about his work, and each photograph feels like it is a moment frozen inside of complete chaos. Like a stillshot of a sandstorm or hurricane or something.

Make sure to look at his "Hyena" set of Nigerian's and their pet hyenas and baboons.

His set on the Rwanda Genocide aftermath is graphic.
