I Was Just On Channel 3 News, Other Chattabloggers Were Too
Ok, just watched the blog segment on Channel 3. Very amusing. Kit Rushing of UTC may be a fruitloop. If I understood him correctly I believe he implied that only rich educated people tell the truth and that if you read the New York Times you don't have to make sure they get their facts straight, but if you read blogs, you do.
Mark Cooley's blog and some others showed up on there.
Another segment is running at six, and I think a third at eleven. Hilarious.
Oh, tomorrow Bill, John Bailes, Joe Lance and myself will be on the air from 2-4 on WGOW talking about blogging and new media. WGOW has a webcam on the site. Look for me to be wearing leather chaps.

Bring your cowboy boots too. You may need them, given the bs we'll create.
Oh, one change. Joe can't make it, so Mesh in coming in place of Joe. Here's our roles, until conversation declines:
1. Josiah--Business and Philosophy of Blogging
2. Bill--News and the Blog
3. Mesh--Journalistic Integrity and the Blog
4. John--Blah, Blah, Blah

The impression I got from the UTC guy's comments was that many people (especially minors) don't understand the ramifications of posting personal information in blogs. And in that, I think he's correct. It's definitely risky to treat a blog as a diary. I mean, heck, it's pretty hard to draw cutesy hearts around my name in ASCII characters.

If someone can show me how to post Dword's name with cutesy hearts around in ASCII characters, please oh, please let me know. I need to put it on my e-trapperkeeper.
In reality, I though the news channel 3 piece did a decent job and chattablogs was represented well. Good job Josiah, you sounded great.

One more guest tomorrow on WGOW: Democrat Blogger Celeb Sandy Lusk. Now let's not have any fights, boys.

I hope that Sandy is a woman so that the female bloggers are at least represented somewhat!

As long as those chaps are not of the 1980s hair rock variety (you know the type I'm talking about), everything should be OK.

You misspelled community when you were setting up Cindy's blog lol. I wonder if anyone else noticed that....it was like ocmmunity.

I just love hearing "journalists" say the word "blogging" with "quotation marks" around it. Always brings a little tear of mirth to my eye.

Do you have a recording of it?
Did you mention database hosting services provided by AirNet Group? Or maybe your buddy Garrett was the db server admin? Or did you just ramble the entire time?
