Attention Teachers & Politicians

Chattablogs is intended to be a community forum. My hope is that one day charities, neighborhood organizations, schools, and even politicians (or would be politicians) would "tap into" the chattablogs world to engage the broader Chattanooga community.

A great example of this is the The Literings, a group of CCS Middle School 8th graders who post their work for the greater community to enjoy. This is exactly the kindof stuff I'd love to see on Chattablogs.

Another example would be Libros, a non-profit organization that raises funds for books and libraries in Honduras. By making posts on their Chattablog, traffic is driven to their site and awareness of their needs and mission grows.

There's no reason why a hundred of other charities, foundations, and schools couldn't do the same thing. Coptix the company that provides and maintains the entire Chattablogs machine is more than willing to help, pro-bono, any group who would like to do something similar. Coptix is also working on a next generation blog-engine that would allow for seemless integration between existing websites and Chattablogs.

Its all about community discourse, and its right there, for free. Chattablogs gets some 60,000 unique visitors a month, and its growing everyday. So spread the word!

Many thanks, Coptix, for working with us on the Libros blog. I tell all my friends about you.
