Emotional Massage

Every now and then, when I need to feel better about myself, I remember that there exists a rather significant portion of our population who are utterly unironically excited to meet these people. Its like a who's who of second class geekdom heroes or something. I mean, don't you want to meet the guy who played Bojay on Battlestar Gallactica? Have you even seen Battlestar Gallactica (other than you Bill)?

Most of those people aren't even second class geekdom heroes, I'd put them in the class of actors that only the Comic Book Guys of the world know and care about.

I shouldn't say any more, considering that I have a cousin who actually does go to the Star Trek convention in Vegas every year. A few years ago, she was really excited because she and her husband were in a club the night before the convention started and got invited over to party with Gene Roddenberry's son and his people.

Wasn't Gene Roddenberry's son the kid who stole the Dude's car? And the Creedence?
