Yawn

I suppose since Andy's mentioned it I should open the bag wide and let y'all know that Coptix is moving. I wish I had some cool photos to show you or something. Hopefully I'll get Andy to snap some good shots on his new digital SLR this afternoon when the entire co. heads over to checkout the new office.

Last night most of us, including Lang/Joseph/Andy/Stephen/Charity & even Jeff for a few minutes spent four hours from 10 pm. to 2 am moving massive 1960's era "A Hipsters Dream" furniture that Leitner & Williams Law Firm was throwing out. It was a crazy amount of work but a real godsend in terms of timing 'cause now we've got 75% of our office furniture pretty much just given to us. Of course, making the place look cool, well, that's something I'm gonna leave up to these guys.

So ya, Smoothblend is probably gonna sublease from us since the new office is some 1,500 square feet and ridiculously larger than what we need right now. Jeff Orr will make the transition with us enabling us to keep our fingers firmly on the pulse of the Southern California Contractors Insurance trade.

On the outside you wouldn't look twice at the place, but inside its a real gem. High ceilings, cool wharehous-ish rafters and a new paintjob & wiring & central heat & air and a bunchof other nice amentities, like being able to walk right outside and have a smoke. Can't do that now 'cause Heather is allergice to cigarettes. Other nice thing is we'll finally be line of site with Airnet, so we can boost our in-office connectivity up to 10 mbits.

The whole thing has me a bit stressed out, the hiring of new people, cordinating the move, yelling at clients who don't pay invoices. It's a good bit of responsibility I guess and I feel real blessed.

OH, if you've made it this far, Ben Horner is back in town but he's hiding from everyone.

We will find you Ben...you can't hide forever.

Interesting timing...

A certain hip local publication is moving, as well...
Reports say that the new office space will consist of high ceilings, large cublicles for staffers, a separate conference room, and windows covering half of all of it...

At last! A certain editor will be able to leave his mountain bike in his office instead of on the back of his car...

The new office will be in the same building, on the same floor, just down the hall...

This hip publication should carve out an office space for its underpaid roving reporter and film critic.

This certain hip publication should also hire me so I can GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS JOB!!! I hate being a copy editor for this stinkin' newspaper. Sigh. Anywho, the "hipster's dream" furni sounds snazzy. What a great find.
