A Slave to My Passions
There is no diet coke in the house. I can't find the coffee. April is at work with the truck.
Andy has no car.
Lang is gone for lunch and will not bring me sustenance.
Mesh's van has died.
Even John, my final hope, is trapped at work.
My brain is melting down. These last few months of infusing my synapses with the legal chemical stimulants so brilliantly interwoven into my dear, sweet Diet Coke have finally led to this. Me, strung out, on the ropes.
Please, someone, bring me a fix. I'll even drink tea.

Get your ass out of the house, walk 4 blocks to mine, and get your DC out of our fridge.

Yeah, I was going to say something like that, but Charity beat me to it. Your legs do work, at least a bit. I'm pretty sure there's a convenience store within 5 blocks, and if you're really desperate, the gas station is only 10 or so away.

That's true, there is that scary looking convenience store around 57th...

And let's not forget the Okie-Dokie Market. Gosh, I love that name.

Todd was my savior. Right after I posted that, he called, 'cause he needs a big playlist for his 80's party he's throwing in a couple weeks. So we're sittin' here, compiling copious amounts of 80's hits/schlock.
And I have my DC.

Actually it's not just the Okie Dokie Market. It's the Okie Dokie Market #5, like there are hundreds of others somewhere. Actually all I'm concerned about is where numbers 1-4 are.

I'd like to think that the other Okie Dokies slowly closed over the years, and the St. Elmo one struggles on, valiantly maintaining its #5 status.

Kind of heroic in a sad manner... The Valiant Struggles of the Okie-Dokie Market #5, sounds like a ballad.

Yo, you SHOULD have called me, I probably drove right by your house as you blogged this! Not only is there diet coke in my house, I would have been happy to bring you some. So, do you feel love enough?
Has anyone ever been in the scary store on the corner of 55th and St. Elmo?
