The Chattanooga Market Isn't Closing?
I've gotten word (wow, a tip!) from a source close to the individual(s) responsible that the Chattanooga Market wont be closing and may, in fact, be back this year with a gusto (and under new management). My heartfelt thanks of course go out to Nick & Elizabeth for building such a fantastic asset to the community, and I'm really excited about the possibility of the Market continuing!
More, of course, as it develops (keep your fingers crossed!).
UPDATE: Times Free Press has the full story here.

I heard from a lot of the farmer's at the most recent Slow Foods meeting that they were relieved that the Market was closing. Of course I'm sure they don't speak for everyone, but they aggreed that Sunday afternoon is a crappy time for farmers. I do like the option, and a place for crafters to sell goods is excellent, but I look forward to an even more convenient and consistent farmer's market that centers around food first, not craft.
