Awesomely Bad Music: Christmas Edition
Even at 10 years old, I didn't understand how New Kids on the Block was happening. I assumed it'd make sense once I hit highschool or College. Nearly 18 years later I still don't understand; there's no way those hundred million albums could have been bought by only teenage girls. Here they are on Arsenio Hall (natch?) performing "Funky Funky Christmas".
Runner up was Billy Idol's "Jingle Bell Rock".

You're forgetting about the 8,9, and 10 year old girls too. Girls ages 8-16 on at least three continents can easily buy a hundred million CDs.
Keep in mind that you were a 10 year old boy. This was and is very, very different than a 10 year old girl.
. . . . my step-dad still makes fun of me for my (former) NKOTB obsession.
