Baby It's Cold Outside

April and I stayed in Chattanooga for Thanksgiving, celebrating with Ty & Jess, Vincent & Kiko, Diesel and many others. Right now I think the vote is 11 to 6 in favor of the Cranberry "sauce" out of the can.

The East TN USGBC Chapter has put out its call for nominations for the 2008 board.

Read The Golden Compass, well, today. Fast read, enjoyable. Its not-so-subtle digs at the doctrine of original sin are sloppy (and it appears the movie is going to run with this theme), but in no way ruin the fun. It's bizarre-o metaphysics on the other hand are nonsensical, not that I expected better.

With the launch of the "voting" feature in your news feed, I'm convinced that Facebook is slowly acclimating it's users back to the all-you-can-eat voyeuristic buffet that was the first few days after it's initial newsfeed launch.

Finally, the fiscally absurd & irresponsible "drug war" causes chaos in Hamilton County.

yeah janelle was pretty grossed out by my purchase of a 99cent publix canned cranberrry. I'm sorry but you can't have thanksgiving with out the blob like cranberry. Also it must maintain its can shape while being served. This was especially difficult for me as the can I purchased for some reason could only be opened on the top, not bottom, so i had to use a knife to carefully, oh so carefully, ease the jello like product out of the can.

Golden Compass was a great book, yeah, but it's followed by Subtle Knife and Amber Spyglass. Subtle Knife bothered me, but man oh man, you've never read such a forcefully anti-Christian children's book as Amber Spyglass. I really wish they weren't making this movie. It's seriously going to pull a huge number of impressionable kids into Pullman's twisted heresy.
