Awesomely Bad Pop Music: Roxette "Listen To Your Heart"
I'm thinking about starting a weekly series, Awesomely Bad Pop Music. Odds are most of it is going to come from 1984 to 1994 given that I have no sentimental attachment (or context) to the crap that's been released before or after that period.
Humor is tragedy plus time; ten years isn't enough.
Up first is Roxette's "Listen To Your Heart". When I was a kid, I always though it strange that the "Stop The Insanity!" lady also had a band.

It is a reasonably good song. You have all the late '80s to choose from and this is the worst you can find? Stryper anyone?

Who said it was the "worst" I could find?

So, when you say "awesomely bad" are you harking back to 80's slang where "bad" means "good", sort of how you or I might say "bad-ass" today?

This song is so awesomely bad that my iTunes playcounter shows that I've listened to it, um...50 times.
Don't listen to him, Marie H. I will always love you.

Paul, it's Marie F.
:)
My playcount is only at 32. "Awesomely Bad" doesn't mean it doesn't make it onto my playlist.
