OpenSocial vs. Facebook
I'm of the opinion that Facebook is the most important web application/site since, well, Google. It's everything that MySpace is not (but should have been): fast, clean, and expandable. It's usefulness is limited only by it's number of users.
Google's new social networking application, OpenSocial (set to be released tomorrow), attacks Facebook at the only place it's weak: the lack of true web-application interoperability. I can't wait to see where OpenSocial ends up in a year.
Google rarely makes mistakes; my only two complaints are that they didn't buy Flickr (can you imagine the integration w/ Google Maps possibilities!) and Facebook.
