Chuck Crowder & The Pulse Skewer Ron "Corruption" Littlefield
This is what I get for putting off reading this week's issue of The Pulse till today, I miss a great story. Chuck Crowder's piece on The Mayor's closing of Miller Park to boost interest in his as-yet-to-be-built Homeless Campus (purchased as a favor to a wealthy campaign fundraising family) is awesome.
The Mayor's blatant disregard for and hindrance of those organizations already in existence is telling, as in, it's further evidence of what we've already known:
The Homeless Campus has nothing to do with caring for the needy & homeless, it has everything to do with campaign-promises-for-votes and campaign-promises-for-money. Whether it's buying a golf course to secure African-American votes and the big $$ of Harold Coker, or using taxpayer dollars to publish a newsletter that only gets sent to registered voters, it's all about the corruption.
Kudos to Chuck & The Pulse for having the cojones to run this editorial.
Also, there was an excellent article from The Times Free Press by Dave Flessner & Jason Reynolds on developments w/ Telecoms in TN with mention of the recent lawsuit by Big Telecom against the EPB for their Fiber to the Home project. Good stuff.
