Fiber to the Home: Get Your E-mail On
Next Tuesday is the City Council vote on whether or not to approve the EPB Fiber to the Home program. Most City Councilpersons seem to be in support of the event, but as you've probably the noticed the past few days, Comcast representatives from Nashville have been wining and dining, trying to sway the vote.
Personally, I'd rather have local citizens trying to sway the vote. If you're interested, consider sending your City Councilperson an e-mail with a note of approval (or disapproval) of the Fiber to the Home program. For your convenience, here are their names, districts, phone numbers, and e-mails:
Linda Bennett, District 1, 425-7858, bennett_l@mail.chattanooga.gov
Sally Robinson, District 2, 757-5196, robinson_sa@mail.chattanooga.gov
Dan Page, District 3, 757-5196, page_dan@mail.chattanooga.gov
Jack Benson, District 4, 757-5196, benson_j@mail.chattanooga.gov
John P. Franklin, District 5, 757-5196, franklin_j@mail.chattanooga.gov
Marti "Mumu" Rutherford, District 6, 425-7852, rutherford@comcast.net
Manuel Rico, District 7, 425-7856, rico_m@mail.chattanooga.gov
Leamon Pierce, District 8, 757-5196, pierce_l@mail.chattanooga.gov
Debbie Gaines, District 9, gaines_d@mail.chattanooga.gov
