Tacos To Go
If you haven't had a chance yet, you should make a point to visit the small taco joint in the strip mall next to the new Wal-Mart in Tiftonia. Not the Mexican place with the bar, the one on the right, near the AT&T Cingular store. They have, in my opinion, the best tacos in town, and their steak gordita is excellent.
I don't get the subtag on their sign, "Aki Y Tu Go". Some sign manufacturer on Sand Mountain messed that one up.

I've wondered about that sign, too...even wondering if Tacos 2 Go was owned by the China Buffet. However, I was intrigued enough to do some digging after seeing your blog post.
I *think* that the tag line is saying something like, "Here and You Go," or "Here and Tu Go" (with the 'tu' being used as kind of intentional/double meaning misspelling). In other words, you can eat the tacos there or take them to go.
I don't believe "aki" is a Spanish word, but upon googling I found it to be used with Spanish words. On one search I cam across a language called Papiamentu (or Papiamento), which is a mixture of Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, English, French (it also has some Arawak Indian and African influences). Supposedly, Papiamentu is one of the few Creole Languages of the Caribbean that has survived to the present day.

dude...have you left the scooter fan club? i can't believe all you gave the upcoming rally was a sidebar mention that says "this weekend." what will the scooter world think?

The formal spelling is aquí , which means "here".

Ah, so "aki" is an informal/slang spelling. Makes perfect sense being a Mexican restaurant, but much less interesting than a blended language. Hey, the best Italian Pizza & Sub joints in my hometown were owned by Greeks. :-)

Ok, we now have a good spot for tacos...how about Tamales? Good spots around Chatt-town?

Best Tamales are at Taco Ricos on Main Street next to Niedlovs. Bananna Leaves make all the differences.
