Recycling By The People, For The People

A St. Elmo couple has, in response to the Mayor's gutting of the city-wide recycling program (and waste of surplus funds on condescending copyright-violating marketing schemes), launched their own weekly neighborhood-wide recycling pickup program. Very cool, though I still prefer to give my cans to the nice lady with the shopping cart who lives on Alabama & 51st.

If you live in stelmo and are interesting in reducing your carbon imprint via not making the long trek to Orange Grove, check out Rare Earth Recycling Service.

This is the second such service I've heard of recently. One called Scenic City has started up in North Chatt.

(nice redesign btw)
