Green Day Boulevard of Broken Dreams Video Mashup
I'm no Green Day fan. This vid, along with being ridiculously awesome, also proves what rip-off artists they are. Did I mention it's ridiculously awesome?
I. heart. the. video. mashup.

I heart the Supreme Court upholding a ban against an inhuman procedure which kills unborn children.
This is a great day for the pro-life movement. We have Senator Sam Brownback to thank for rejecting the Miers nomination and getting Justice Alito on the court.

so i don't really care a lot about green day, either, but i wouldn't call them rip-offs. you know if we started calling people rip-offs, it would eliminate practically every musician out there. in fact, if you speak with musicians, they usually say they tried to rip someone off for their style. whether they succeeded and it becomes apparent to all, or if they accidentatlly create something that sounds new, they ripped someone off. and often, if you take that "new" sound and put it in front of the right people, it'll sound like a rip off.

I got out of Covenant in 96. My good friend Harvey left for Calvin in 95. I suppose it must have been either 94 or 95 when Harvey came to me and told me that Green Day was playing in his home town, Tampa, FL, and asked my if I wanted to go. We had just gotten back from a huge spring break road trip so I declined.
He went to the show. Afterwards, he asked Green Day if they wanted to come to his house and have a home cooked meal and sleep there. They did.
He has it all on video. The most memorable to me is when his mom has Green Day holding hands in the driveway, praying over their departure and the rest of their tour. She also gave them some Keith Green books and CDs, which they graciously accepted.
