Now if they could just get Steve Spurrier to show up and give a lecture series on how to transition a ball-control & run-based offensive scheme towards a more contemporary, vertical game. I'd be all about that.
In other news: it'll be a week tomorrow, and still no posting on the Covenant College website concerning Dr. Halvorsen's passing. Real classy.
I suppose he may have received notice had he gotten into kitsch dramatic interpretations of the end times.

On the other hand, Dr. Halvorsen never abjectly embarassed himself with the New Orleans Saints. Maybe that's a new requirement for Covenant recognition.

That said, Desire Street Ministries is a great work, from what I've heard about it. I suppose it would be harder to get people interested in hearing about it from someone who hadn't been a football star.
And the dramatic interpretation actually sounds fairly classy, if it's by the co-creator of the Cotton Patch Gospel. Harry Chapin was a good songwriter; I can't imagine he would've worked with an evangelical hack.
