I'm just going to forget about that blemish and the injustice of a flawed system, and we'll leave it at that. I'm content with achieving the thing next year. But in the meantime, finishing this "year of redemption" with a victory in Pasadena would taste so sweet. My one wish is that Steve Breaston play like he's always played at the Rose Bowl: inspiring, fearless, achieving everything that was expected of him. With that and a victory, I will be content.

So who should play for the national title?
As I watched the game I think I saw a little wood shed... and if I wasn't mistaken... I think USC took MI behind it.... and then I'm not sure what happened but I think MI was demolished.
Now we have to wait a week to see a similar game only with the teams being Ohio St and Florida. Florida will play the part of Michigan.

I saw some AMAZING games this week... Penn took it to the Vols, Boise won three times, Boston College came back from the dead, Georgia looked like they could play football again... it was a wierd, but very fun weekend for football.
Sorry for your loss Josiah but there was more evidence for a playoff system this weekend than ever. Hopefully this will bring some momentum to the argument.

Hope you're having a better Tuesday than yesterday! Don't feel too bad. Your team didn't lose by 27 points to Rutgers!!

After Tenn and Ark went down to Big Ten teams I was ready to concede that maybe Michigan should have been sent to the BCS title game... Then USC showed me that, nope... Florida was the best choice.
War Eagle!

How about that Auburn defense? Nice game D, nice game.
USC also showed that they must not have prepared AT ALL for the UCLA game.
Michigan looked like they were still in it the first half. USC must have seen something they liked in the secondary at half time... yikes I had to turn it off after the first USC drive of the 4th QTR - it was getting ugly.

Dude, just become a Spartans fan, that or Ohio St... I hear they're good this year...

@stelmodad: Yeah, that first drive of the 4th...it looked like USC was playing a high school team.

I just don't have any idea what happened. They just utterly collapsed like I haven't seen in ages. At least in the Ohio State game we never quit.
Though Damon, it was nice to see that the theory on the SEC's vaunted toughness was utterly destroyed. But now I have no idea what to think in terms of the Championship. Just have to wait till this weekend...
