With Talking Heads, David Byrne was a progenitor of jangly new wave and (sometimes) snooty art school punk, not prog. He is now more world music-based.
Just thought I'd throw it out there...

I grew up there... or, well, in the next town over, twenty minutes away. Saginaw is not really an artsy city. Huh.
