The Ten Show
The Chattanooga Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, AIGA50, is proud to be hosting the graphic design awards competition for the State of Tennessee, the Ten Show. The site was designed by Joseph over at Widgets, with Mark n' the crew here at Coptix. We also built the site, and we managed to pull off the card flipping animation without using flash. We were happy 'bout that.
So, if you're a designer in Tennessee, by all means submit your work! The winner gets a paid submission to the AIGA 365 national design competition.

I just want to enter the Big Ten show this Saturday. the logo needs a hidden 11 in the middle somewhere.

Ok.. um.. did you miss the WHEN on purpose? Are you adding the card to the deck when that is known?

In IE (6.0 and earlier on PC) when all the cards are flipped the screen is blank.
I know Firefox is better, and that Macs will help save society.... yada yada yada...

Thought we fixed that bug for IE6. Thankfully IE6 is getting smaller and smaller share of the market. I'm looking forward to the day we no longer have to support it (I give it less than a year).
That said, we'll fix it.

Maybe, maybe... many sites out there are advising their clients to retain IE 6 for now because they're not IE 7 compliant (banks and such).
It'll be interesting to see if Firefox continues to migrate beyond the power user market into mainstream America. The more I'm in the business the more I see that most of America doesn't want to make a decision about what tool or platform is best for them. They just want the best marketed 'whatever' that's served to them.
In some ways I don't blame them. Why get stressed about a techno-thing when they really don't need to care?
rambling, rambling... time to go home.

Many, but not most, and even those few won't be able to stem the tide that is Microsoft Update.
Agree on your Firefox points, though it is heartening to see that it continues to gain market share. I've got a theory that Apple will punt Safari to embrace a branch of Firefox. Once that happens, and Apple continues to make its impressive inroads into the consumer PC market (just wait till the numbers come out after this holiday season), I think we're going to be looking at a very interesting browser scenario.
And Dave, "really don't need to care?" That sure flies in the face of well, everyone and everything as to the nature of IE security.
Give me about 5 minutes to upload a few exploits to my blog, and if you're using IE6, well, you know what happens then.

the "don't need to care" was more about the brands of browsers... not whether or not they use a secure version. you so silly.
