When Error Messages Reveal Too Much
Sometimes web developers reveal a little more than the PR & Marketing types would like. A good example of this is the little gem we discovered on the Dunkin Donuts website.
In other words, they have no idea why the error occurred, and the website administrator will be parsing thousands of lines of in their logs files to discover why the error occurred. Right.
It inspired us to create the following more accurate error message.

The real question is what business you would be transacting with Dunkin Donuts. You Urban Hipster Zeitgeist guy. Does Greyfriars or Stone Cup know you are sinking to the dunkin level on your coffee? Has not NeidLoves sent you a cease and desist eating donuts letter yet? There is a better story here than just the error message...
