Joshua Daniels Has A Pulsecast!
Joshua Daniels is finally back on the air, err... Tubes with a Podcast via The Pulse. This has made my week.
Since Josh's ouster as Chattanooga's finest DJ (due to the masterful combination of the envious recreant Richard Winham, the opportunistic station manager John McCormack, and McCormack's sycophantic sidekick Mark Colbert) WUTC has deteriorated to the point where I rarely, if ever, tune in. And if I do, it's certainly not in the evening slot, where Josh used to serve as the arbiter of great music. I never begrudged him his position, as he was rarely ever wrong.
I'm just glad Josh is back. I hope The Pulse keeps it up. Heck, they ought to start their own radio station.
It's crazy how far WUTC has fallen. How is it that Chattanooga can go from having one of the best NPR stations in the country to something barely approximating functional within less than a year? It's a travesty.

We are, of course, awfully proud of this over here at Pulse headquarters. And we're sort of in love with Regina Spektor. Or at least one of us is.

Now that ChattState has the Jamming latino DJ's on at night, WUTC has officially become the amateur community college station.

Remember when WUTC used to play music? Just like when MTV used to play music videos?
At least now they're digital, giving lossy encoding the chance to subvert its name.

I was just passing through Chattanooga yesterday and in that brief time, I noticed the music was not what it used to be. Sad. If you're still looking for a decent NPR station, try KCRW in Santa Monica, California. They're online.
