My Superman & Montgomery, Alabama & Ty Willison
The always munificent Todd managed to amass a large number of tickets to Superman tonight, so April and I will be attending along with the man who has come to be our own personal superman, John Perry.I couldn't find a picture of John to post here, though I have some I need to scan in. I did the best I could and posted this photo I found on flickr of the "John Perry Memorial" on "John Perry Road". This is not a memorial to John Perry in death mind you, because John will. never. die.
April and I spent the weekend in Montgomery, Alabama visiting with her grandparents. It's strange hearing stories about the Depression and realizing they are first hand accounts. Further it's surreal yet oddly comforting knowing that not once have they nor will they ever log on to the internet. The fresh peaches and ice cream is good too.
Ty Willison deserves more praise that this blog can give. He fixed the leaks in our roof, both of them, in ridiculously fast and thorough fashion. I feel like, along with have a roof in good repair, that I also received a whirlwind edumacashun on the basics of how a roof works. Well worth the price of admission, which is low to begin with.
So if you ever need any work done on your house etc., give Ty a call at TruShine.

Did you go see Hank Williams grave while you were there? It's quite an interesting piece of land.
