When The Seaweed Sinks
Last night we had a little shindigery get together things for Andy Ross at Andy Montgomery's house. This coincided with a viewing of the Chattanooga Michigan Expats of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Earlier at the office we instituted the "Rosser B-Day Cider" institution; cider being his favorite beverage.Tonight, of course, we have MeshMas 2K6. I wanted to call it Mesh Fest, but Mesmas is clever-er-er. If you're not coming, you're gonna miss out on Andy Montgomery singing a moving rendition of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now". No seriously.
I've been listening to the Cake album, Motorcade of Generosity, specifically the song "Ruby Sees All". The album is an old hometown favorite for me, and each spring I roll out "Ruby" and rock non-stop for a few weeks. I decided to post it for download here.
I recommend listening to the song with your headphones one, eyes closed, volume at the loudest non-painful level, and perhaps with a beverage of your choice in hand.
Finally, if you haven't taken the time to check out the FIFA World Cup ads yet, check them out. The Ivory Coast ad is beautiful. Oh, and here's to the US beating Venezuela tonight.
