NBC Forces YouTube to Remove SNL Lazy Sunday Video
Article here.
Dear NBC,
Don't be stupid. Ask your Marketing VP. Companies can't buy that kind of exposure and advertising, and you're getting it for free. Every time somebody watches that video its a free impression on a potential viewer. Welcome to 2006.

Are they not aware that virtually nobody would even be watching the lamer-than-ever SNL this year if it wasn't for that video???

Well, if they can get enough people pissed about it...they can't buy this kind of exposure either. Too bad they don't realize that negative publicity, while still free, is still negative.

For my whole life, pretty much, all of my friends have complained that SNL isn't funny, and yet each week I laugh pretty hard at most of the skits.
Did anyone see the Will Forte sketch "Give up the ham" from a few years back? I still can't get that one out of my head.

Its all about the benjamins. NBC's still hurtin since friends and seinfeld left so now they're having to drum up money as much as possible.
