My Fav Songs of 2005

This is always a tough call for me. I'm a junkie for the single. But here goes:

1. All These Things That I've Done by The Killers
2. The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades Is Out to Get Us by Sufjan Stevens
3. Golddigger by Kanye West
4. Fake Palindromes by Andrew Bird
5. Hate It or Love It (G Unit Remix)
6. Feel Good Inc by Gorillaz
7. Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros
8. Bum Like You by Robyn
9. E Pro by Beck
10. Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani

nearly made it: The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, Formed A Band by Art Brut, Eli The Barrow Boy by The Decembrists, 7/4 (Shoreline) by Broken Social Scene, Hope There's Someone by Antony & The Johnsons, Chicago by The Quiet Ones, Oh Mandy by Spinto Band, Dolphin of The Sky by Matt Turner, Everyday by Rogue Wave, Hung Up by Madonna, Since You've Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson, Dontcha by The Pussycat Dolls, The Lord God Bird by Sufjan Stevens, Nervous Tick Motion of The Head To the Left by Andrew Bird

Mebbe I should just do a top 50.

Alot of folks are putting songs from The Arcade Fire in there, which is weird, because I thought it came out in 2004. If its allowed in, I'd pick Neighborhood #4 (7 Kettels), Rebellion (Lies), and just about any other song off the album.

Arcade Fire came out in 2005 in the UK, and since Britain is the 51st state, it counts.

Haha... Almost like my recent blog post. 'Cept you beat me to the punch.

Nice list though.

I was going to reiterate on the "Arcade Fire was released in Britian this year, US last year," but it appears someone beat me to it.

Thanks for this list, though. I just came across your site, searching for the Sufjan Christmas albums...I think I'll probably be returning regularly.
