Hail! Hail! To Michigan
I think I've managed to piss everyone off in the office by playing the fight song as loud as possible as often as possible. But this week I believe I deserve a certain measure of leniency. Look, its plainly obvious to see which is better. The game Saturday, while the very definition of penultimate, is necessary merely for a sense of the conclusive.
Now for a cheer they are here,
triumphant!
Here they come with banners flying,
In stalwart step they're nighing,
With shouts of vict'ry crying,
We hurrah, hurrah, we greet you now,
Hail!
Far we their praises sing
For the glory and fame they've bro't us
Loud let the bells them ring
For here they come with banners flying
Far we their praises tell
For the glory and fame they've bro't us
Loud let the bells them ring
For here they come with banners flying
Here they come, Hurrah!
Hail! to the victors valiant
Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
Hail! Hail! to Michigan
the leaders and best
Hail! to the victors valiant
Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
Hail! Hail! to Michigan,
the champions of the West!
We cheer them again
We cheer and cheer again
For Michigan, we cheer for Michigan
We cheer with might and main
We cheer, cheer, cheer
With might and main we cheer!
Hail! to the victors valiant
Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
Hail! Hail! to Michigan,
the champions of the West!

I guess I'll just never get your whole Michigan thing. You've never lived there, as far as I know, and I'm not aware that anyone in your immediate - or extended - family has ever gone there.

Born there, lived there, visited there many times, whole father's side of family from there.

Michigan is the best! They have a great fight song. Thanks for posting it! Ryan, I think Josiah is from Michigan, but I could be wrong. I do know he spent some time at Autoworld.

and roll down to make those goals
for FSU is on the warpath now
and at the battle's end
she's great
so fight, fight, fight, fight
for victory
SEMINOLES of FLORIDA STATE!
F-L-O-R-I-D-A....
S-T-A-T-E!
FLORIDA STATE! FLORIDA STATE! FLORIDA STATE!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Yeah, FSU's experiencing an unprecendented meltdown right now... but that 1991 game at Michigan was SWEET and laid the platform for what was the Team of the 90s!
FSU 51
UM 31

There seemed to be alot of talk preseason but then none for the first several weeks when they were 3-3 and now all of a sudden Hail Hail Michigan. But I can't talk much since I USED to be a Tennesse fan. Now I am searching for a new team.

I never seen such a horrible referreed game then when Mich. played at Iowa. Horrible. Iowa would have if that game was called correctly. Ohio state will crush Mich. Mark it down dude.

War Eagle, fly down the field,
Ever to conquer, never to yield,
War Eagle, fearless and true,
Fight on, you orange and blue!
Go! Go! Go!
On to vict'ry, strike up the band!
Give 'em hell! Give 'em hell!
Stand up and yell! HEY!
War Eagle, win for Auburn
Power of Dixie Land!

I'm still sore over that one second that cost PSU a perfect season, but at least they're going to win the Big Ten this year. :-)

Go Bucs! Ah the air in Columbus is differnt the week leading up the the Big Game. It is all anyone talks about. Last year I was in Trader Joe's when OSU won the big game and they gave away free samples of Champaign!

Hello, I've just downloaded the Sufjan Stevens' Songs for Christmas posted a year ago. (Amazing. Thank you.) I go to UofM and love living in Ann Arbor... can't say I have much school spirit though. I didn't even watch the Ohio State game...
