Update on The Duble Family
This e-mail is from Eric Youngblood, the Pastor of Rock Creek Fellowship, where the Duble family attends.
Rock Creek Family and Friends, This evening (Thursday) I had opportunity to speak with Troy Duble yet again. They were continuing their long journey back to Lookout Mountain from New Hampshire, hoping to return tomorrow afternoon, Friday, in the late afternoon/early evening. We discussed several matters which he and Sarah would wish for you to know: We discussed the autopsy report on Noah we had been anticipating. The medical examiner found no results of any trauma. Noah did not aspirate nor did he drown. He had no head injuries nor damage to his spinal cord or any accompanying vertebrae. In fact, there was no apparent damage to any of his major organs. To put it succinctly, there was no easily explainable cause of death for our little friend. The doctor indicated that a couple more weeks of brain and heart examination would be necessary for more conclusive results. We also discussed innumerable logistical details about funeral services and arrangements, the fruit of which conversation you will find at the end of this email. I was thankful to encounter the joyful relief of hearing Kyra in the background as Troy was discussing songs that we ought to sing at the funeral. “Nothing but the Blood”, Kyra inserted, “because,” chimed in Troy, “Noah loved to sing that song.”Troy wanted me to distribute his and Sarah’s shared gratitude for your continuous pleading to Jesus for them and their Kyra. “She’s not acting afraid to talk about him (Noah).” Please continue praying for this little girl who is enduring the large, unsettling notion of facing a future without her best friend.
As you all know, prayers are requested for a huge and hurting family. Over the next few daunting days, many family members and adoring friends will be motoring down highways, and flying through skies to be with these Dubles whom we all love. Troy and Sarah are with family now as they make their way southward, and are eager to reunite with their wider family (both those who bear their names, and those who bear the name of their Savior like you!) upon their homecoming tomorrow.
Below I have included details about this weekend. May the wounds of our Savior bring massive restorative healing to our friends and to you.
Warmly,
Pastor Eric
