The Rise of the Fourth Reich & Lang Martin
I average about 170 unique sessions a day. Yesterday I had over 600. Something has happened in the last few days 'causing my traffic to go through the roof. Usually I see this reflected in the number of comments (i.e. there's a hot-topic people are discussing), but not this time.
As far as I can tell the increase in traffic is occuring during nearly every hourly period except between 5 pm and midnight. The hours which represent the largest increase in their percentage share of total traffic has been between midnight and 10 am. Which is, oddly enough, the working hours for central Europe (Germany).
Which fits with the unbelievable amount of search traffic I've been receiving out of German Google/Yahoo/AskJeeves. Search traffic leading to this and this.
So for some reason, whatever reason, the Germans have this real fascination with Lang killing pigs and with a religious military. Not only that, but they seem to identify with the subtext of "know yer roots" of the Lang-killing-pig image, and I'm not sure that this fits with Fernando's original intent of the image.
I can only conclude from this bizarre phenomenon that 4th Reich is upon us, and that it has something to do with Lang & pigs.

"Lang" means "long" in German. It could be that the Germans are looking for porn involving pigs. Those Germans are freaks.

Why is Lang killing a pig, anyway? That is DISTURBING, man... And I've gotta go to a meeting with him later. I don't know if I'll ever see him the same way again. I've got that image seared into my brain now. Sheesh.

I once plagurized (how the hell do you spell that?) a paper that Lang did on the German problem of the last 100 years. A bunch a stuff about volk politik and whatnot. Looks like he was way off, the German problem is a fascination with him.
