I'd Like To Make Something Very Clear
Certain criteria concerning my person (I'm a white guy, I live in the South, I attend a small presbyterian church, and I've expressed a desire to live in the Deep south) do not in any way imply that I'm willing to give quarter to racist sentiments. I don't care if I look to you to be the great Aryan hope (unlikely); petty racist propoganda is not something I'm willing to "tolerate". If you're looking for a place to express that kind of drivel I can direct you to a couple websites which traffic in those goods.
I'm no shining example of a well adjusted person ethnically either. But I think its wrong to run from the issue, to not go after the pride & fear in my own heart, to wrap it all up with shifty theological huff n' puff. I think Jesus demands real unity in Him and its one of those non-negotiable foundational "gospel" things.
In not really related news I believe I've found the solution to race relations. Its the '74 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight. Joe Staven bought one this past weekend at an auction. His is maroon colored, in nearly pristine condition, and is simply a joy to ride. We cruised St. Elmo for something like an hour on Saturday, picking up people who wanted to cruise (Stephen, Dave), and most importantly, getting props from all the St. Elmo demographics.

Driving to work this morning, I had a few "aww yeahs" from people walking down the street. I took it in to Market street Tire and Auto and Randy says it's in beautiful shape. He also says it weighs 6,500 pounds. Here are the pictures of the actual car http://www.library-books.org/olds.html . I'm leaning towards selling it because it's too wide to fit in my driveway or my garage. But I'll cruise in it for a month at least.
