I love it when pranks are successfully pulled on my brother. It's a small sort of vindication for all the years of abuse we three girls suffered under Josiah's bored, understimulated mind. It was like we were his guinea pigs or something. Whenever my parents asked him the reason behind his various harassments of us, the answer was usually, “Because they're there," or "I just wanted to see what they would do.” Like the time he hid a plate under his shirt and told Joanna he was giving her one free punch in the stomach—after convincing her it was not too good to be true, she almost broke her fingers.

Our childhood would sure would have been a lot less interesting without you, JQ. Of course, then I wouldn't have the nickname "fish" haunting me for the rest of my existence, but I suppose that is a small price to pay for the privilege of having you as my brother.
