I Won't Do That, No I Won't Do That
So "scared of the internets" Choltie starts bustin' out the Meatloaf this past tuesday, well, really just "I Would Do Anything for Love". At first I rolled my eyes, but I'm a total sucker for the "its so dang bad and unironically earnest and transcedentally kitsch that its just so good" argument, so I've been rockin' out to the song all morning.
Which makes me want to ask the the ever growing number of "racialist" readers on this blog: Just what wouldn't you do for love? Would you marry a non-white person? Would you sing proudly along with Meatloaf "I would do anything for love, but I wont do that"?
Is that what Meatloaf was talking about? Was he making a cutting psychological analysis of the average racist sociopath? Who knows, "...it'll all turn to dust, and we'll all fall down." Very true Meat, very true.
April and I are heading down to Atlanta (sorry Harry n' Co. you can't have it back) tonight for Tim's graduation from GA tech (he's got his masters now). We're also going to be meeting up with April's family who are in Atlanta all weekend for some kind of reunion. There will be camping. There will be iPodding. There will be Gameboy-ing with my brother-in-law. There will be awkward moments of silence when I say something just a little too uncouth in front of the inlaws. Gotta love it!

You know, I'm occasionally the one that gets silent when the wife's fam gets a little too uncouth. They sometimes act like they've known me for years. I'm just like 'hey, too much info'.
