My Aching Feet, or Ann Coulter Visits St. Elmo
So yesterday I walked the streets of St. Elmo with Ann Coulter. Gotta say, the whole thing was a resounding sucess. Support for Ann was overwhelming, and we only ran into 4 people over the course of our 3 1/2 hour walk who supported Ron, and two of them changed their votes after talking with her.
The kicker though is that these folks, and you folks, get out to vote on the 12th of April. Coptix will of course do its traditional "walk down the street and vote power hour", and everyone in the company is voting for Ann. So that's at least a dozen votes for her there. I hope people out there will do the same.

thanks for the sign in the yard, and I'm glad you got to meet the kid that was almost your namesake.

JOSIAH Q. ROE wrote a letter to the TFP editor page saying he supports Ann Coulter for mayor because he thinks Ron is a "political dinosaur".
This is the same JOSIAH Q. ROE who states on his blog that he will vote for Ann because she gave him a hug.
This is the same JOSIAH Q. ROE who rights for a local tabloid that promotes gay rights and is anti-Christian.
This 25 year old needs to spend a little more time in the real world before he shares his "deep thoughts" with informed voters.
Five bucks says JOSIAH Q. ROE is gay.

I agree, he is a sad individual.

Now that, people, is an exquisite example of the kind of insightful, measured, reasonable political discourse that we've come to expect from people modest enough to not want to overwhelm the blogger on whose site they have posted by giving out their name.

Get a few more years in on this planet and we'll take you seriously.
Posted by: Greggory Pack at March 31, 2005 12:15 PM
Now we've risen to the level of needing to shield the discourse from the power of one's own name by using someone else's. It just gets better and better.

does your wife know you are gay? :)

We'll be right back after these words from AlphaHydrox: the wrinkle erasing miracle!

Ah, Gregg Pack. The man who believes that showing people's public information is supposed to terrify them. I've missed you.

I renewed my automobile registration. BOO!
Seriously, I don't know where people are getting the idea that Littlefield supporters are spreading rumor and innuendo in order to get their man elected.
That would be pretty gay if they were.

Be nice to the man. Everybody knows that Gregg Pack is a greggpacker, and that's HIS business. You shouldn't judge him just because lives that lifestyle. If you'd spent any time in the real world, you'd know that greggpackers have rights and (maybe) souls just like anybody else. Don't blame him for voting for Mr. Littlefield. He can't help it. He was born that way.

I'm confused, are these people serious? Is he refering to the Pulse? Is it anti-Christian? Does Josiah write for it? Is Josiah really gay? Is it impossible to be pro-gay rights and pro-Christian? Is this guy serious or is this an inside joke? I'm confused.

Sometimes it's just too easy to get people's dander up (yours and his)

Wow, one goes away for a little while and suddenly things go absolutely nuts on my blog. Wild.
For the record: one is going to have to spend just a little bit more than five bucks to find out if I'm gay.
Posted by: JosiahQ at March 31, 2005 02:43 PM
i'll give you $10. but only if the answer is a resounding "yes." after all, i have a funny feeling you're not.

Thanks for the Coulter team visit the other day. I didn't realize that I and those Christians who came by my house were supporting an "anti-Christian" agenda. Live and learn - I need to read more blogs to find these things out. Too many questions, so much sarcasm to sift through - so little time.

A friend of mine made the comment that if certain detractors, by their statements that "All these Covenant grads are trying to destroy Christianity", mean "hate-filled fundamentalist Christianity", then that may be the case. Now, Christ-centered Christianity, well, we certainly miss the mark, but I think we're about that in our lives and jobs, and most certainly when we make mistakes, for the most part.

wow. what's going on in chattavegas? This is amazing. I feel like printing it and distributing it to all my friends.
Josiah, I miss you buddy. Seriously. A lot. And I'm not gay.

Paul --
Somehow, a bunch of your old friends have gotten far too involved in the mayoral election. We all have our reasons -- I'm editing the Pulse news coverage, Josiah is pushing for St. Elmo inprovement -- but we have all found ourselves political in ways we never were in, say, that li'l ol' Presidential election last fall.
A lot of us miss you. I miss you. And I, also, am not gay. Which should not be construed as a political statement. Just a confirmation of my heterosexual eligibility.
Posted by: mesh at April 1, 2005 09:54 PM
I miss you Mesh, and Josiah, and I'm very very gay.
Posted by: John at April 2, 2005 02:32 PM
And just to add to the humor of it all, this article from the Chattanoogan has been picked up by Fark with the "Unlikely" tag.
Posted by: ryan at April 3, 2005 12:53 PM
Mesh,
I think I picked up the political rumblings -- Josiah going door-to-door being just one hint. You people make me look like a moderate. Which I guess I am.
We are all missing each other. This is nice.
Posted by: paul at April 4, 2005 03:09 PM
maybe I'm misunderstanding you Paul, but I don't think its about the political party, at all. I think its about the candidate.
