Everyone needs a cause... my question is, if the parents had never contested the removal of the tube, would the demonstrators still feel this strongly about it?

What's wrong is that they're withholding food and water from a woman when the only person who claims to have heard her say that she didn't want a feeding tube was the scumbag husband who suddenly "remembered" that was her wish 7 years after it happened (and after winning a huge malpractice settlement on the grounds that he would have to pay for many decades of care) and after he had already found a new woman he was living with and now has 2 kids with.
