Strikes & Gutters
I'm running on about 8 hours of sleep for the last two days combined. Also have about 500 miles of driving w/ iPod bliss under my belt. I feel I've fully ingested a number of important albums: Wolf's "Wind in the Wires", The Kills "No Wow", and the self titled album from The Marshall Tucker Band.
What have I learned? If you care:
1. Ann Coulter is going to make a fine mayor. Yes, that was really Ann on my blog, and its been good to correspond with her the last few days. She's very kind, wicked smart, and isn't a wanker like Ron.
2. Getting in an argument with my sister Joanna is like having an argument with myself. I ended up picking her up from the Atlanta airport last night. Oddly, it wasn't planned. I was down in Monroe for a meet with a client and while stopping to have dinner with a good friend I chatted with my Dad and found out she was flying in (surprise!) and made a swing south to pick her up.
Wanna say something: familial scraps can be good for all the same reasons inter-Body scraps should be good, namely, both sides comitted to reconciliation. If its not about pride, there should be little, if anything, we're willing to loose. All that to say, I'm glad my sister is back.
3. Dinner with the Gosey was good. Oddly, strangely, and I could be wrong, that might have been the first time just Gosey and I have hung out. Regardless, I'm glad I was finally able to meet up with him while down in the ATL. Dang that city is big.
4. Can't you see? Can't you see? What that woman, she been doin' to me? "Can't You See" is an amazing song. I think Isaac needs to get on it for his next concert.
5. Also gotta say, if you're interested in birkenstocks, or any of the various birkenstock sandals or shoes, you should check out this birkenstock site. Got some of the best deals I've found on line.
6. My free iPod shuffle should be here tomorrow, no word on the X-Box.
7. I'm tired. Tonight we're hangin' with the Holtons. I haven't seen my wife in two days. I'm rather looking forward to that.

hey josiah. i'm looking for an old article i wrote for the bagpipe in the wake of 9/11--it was on covenant students in the reserves. i have virtually every other article, but i can't find that one. it's not on the bagpipe online, so do you know an easy, quick way to hunt it down?

Your link that reads Birkestock should probably read Birkenstock or perhaps Birkenstocks or something.

You're right, except for the time I took you to get your wisdom teeth pulled, which was immediately after you came to Covenant.
