Are You Denying The Threat of Imaginary Robots?
If anyone hasn't yet read John Totten's "Conversations About Music" posts, by all dang means, head over to John Lennon In The College Tower right now and read them. It's one of the side-splittinest funniest things I've ever read.
On a completely different note, I've come to realize I've lost any sense of time when it comes to my memory. All there is is what I do or do not remember, or what I remember remembering. As in, I quite literally remember my wedding like it was yesterday. It feels no different than the memory I have of the first time I got by butt kicked after my 10th birthday or when my Dad and I went to Boston. Its kindof odd. Maybe its all the diet coke I'm drinking. It can't be that I'm not getting enough sleep; I get at least 8 a night. And its not as if memories of yesterday are any more particularly sharp or clear than the ones from years ago. They're just kindof there & not there to the same degree.
Alright, that was an odd post. My apologies. Do the Mini Thing.

So, the emotional import of getting married is the equivalent of middle school butt-kickings?

lol, no Ryan. very nice. I just remember them the same. I mean, I have more affection for the marriage memory of course, but the experience of remembering them isn't different in quality or quantity, my response is, of course, very different.

I know what you mean, on both counts. Though I've never gotten married before/yet.
I have one of the worst memories ever. Things come back to me totally unprovoked, just sensations usually. Maybe that's why I'm a poet.
